House Hunting Hell

So it has been a quiet few days in the house. Dylan has been allowed no sugar at all and he is doing pretty good. Tyler is also doing great. He is so quiet most of the time unless he is tired or hungry but that is about the norm with most babies.

So we have been searching and searching ... and searching for a new house. We are supposed to be outta this house by June 30th so we have begun the search.

Found a few houses that we were able to get into. There were 5 that we were supposed to look at. The first one we couldnt even find, the second one we got in but it was so small and had 1 counter in the kitchen, the third we couldnt get the lock box open, the fourth the key was broke off in the door so we couldnt get in and the last house was cute and a decent size but the carpet, even after being cleaned was horrid. I mean this place even had burns (the size of an iron) in the floor. HORRID.

So we head home to look for more houses to view. We get home and have some lunch and let Tyler nap and we find more to look at. We were able to view 2 homes. They were both nice but I am not certain that they jump out at me. So we continue to search.

I think I am just burnt out on all the phone calls and being in the car most of today. It was a very long day and well I am just tired now LOL.

I think if my phone rings again tonight I am gonna throw it out the window.

There is a house that we are interested in but it wont be avaliable for viewing until next week sometime. It is $895 a month, 1700 square feet, 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and in the area we want so keep your fingers crossed for me.

In the meantime ... back to packing and looking until we find what we are looking for. Wish me luck on this adventure.

New Beginnings

So I started this blog to have a way to vent out all the frustrations as well as happy times of being a stay at home mom. Some days have ups and some days have downs. This past week has been incredibly rough in this house. My lovely 4 year old son, Dylan, has taken it upon himself to become Master of the Universe and try to make me have a meltdown that will require therapy for years to come.

Day one: Dylan decides that he wants chocolate for breakfast, so into the pantry he goes in search of a special treat for himself. He ends up with Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars and most of them end up on his bed and floor.

Day Two: Today apparently Dylan was feeling bad for eating all that chocolate yesterday so he decides to eat 2, yes 2, tubes of childrens toothpaste. He now has more than the recommended dose of flouride in his system.

Day Three: We have now put a lock on the pantry to keep him out so he doesnt overdose on chocolate and other goodies and instead he heads for the fridge to get the Strawberry Syrup and have a painting party in his room with all his stuffed animals present for the party. That was so much fun to clean up.

Day Four: Today was Monkey Day, for my little monkey climbed to the top of the linen closet and found a snowglobe that wasnt packed and decided it would be fun to smash it on his bed into a million little pieces. Thank god noone was hurt but it surely made for some glittery carpet.

Day Five: All goes well. We are having such a great day. No mishaps, lots of love and hugs and kisses and just all around great behavior. You know this is not going to last.

Day Six: Another day of great behavior. What has happened to my child. He is never this good. It can only be leading up to a big finale for him.

Say Seven (Mothers Day): Today was a great day. No mishaps up until 8pm. Around 8 pm we head into his room for bedtime rituals and to praise and be excited that my lovely son has turned a new leaf. We notice how unhappy his stuffed animals are and how his room has a lovely scent of lavendar. Poor animals apparently needed an ENTIRE bottle of lotion along with his bed. So ends a stressful week in the McCarter house.

Today was a great day. No mishaps, No beating up Tyler (his little brother), No backtalking. What a great day we have had. Did his schoolwork with no problems at all. YAY for Dylan what a great kid I have. However it is only 7pm so we still have a few hours to see what he has up his sleeve.

So now we try for New Beginnings. We have started again actively with schoolwork. I have also started cooking again, something I love to do for my family but just got in a funk and in that time we gained weight and felt unhealthy. So I am now making my family healthy again and working on the important things in life, Health and loving my family to pieces, even when they do drive me bonkers.
